John Pierce (Kyle Rittenhouse’s former attorney) is the attorney for the defendants (persecuted missionaries shown below).
The prosecuting attorney (David Buchler Madison County far right below) at the beginning of this case stated the missionaries were “homeless vagabonds” (which is clearly not true as we see them here above in their home). The look on Prosecutor Buchler’s face says it all when he sees the missionaries with friends and family sitting comfortably in their abode. Buchler requested additional “help” from the Attorney General’s Office in Helena (we assume because the case was too difficult for him) which is why you see Assistant Attorney General Thorin Geist of Helena (seated to Buchler’s left) coming to his ‘aide.’
Today via zoom-Madison County District Court (with the Honorable Judge Luke Berger residing) Defending Attorney John Pierce had this to say.
“We do believe there should be some sort of contested hearing that allows some testing of probable cause meaning we believe there is NO probable cause.”

All the defendants pled “not guilty” with Jesse Boyd commenting, “I vehemently deny the charge” followed by his daughter Bethany who spoke saying, “I deny the charges your Honor.”
