It’s been an exasperating last three days in Northwest Montana, where heavy snow created total havoc on trees, homes, and residents.
Some woke up to no power, others have experienced glitches with power going on and off intermittently, and still others’ power has been off for over 72 hours, and still, others (even now) have no power at all.
The damage has been devastating as the early heavy snowfall has ruined a multitude of trees, some of which have been uprooted completely and have even fallen on houses. This event, coupled with last summer’s golf ball-size hailstones, has made Northwest MT primarily. a plethora of utter craziness.
I personally experienced a 3.5-hour blackout on Wednesday, then again on Thursday, which lasted 27 hours. My neighbor loaned me her generator, for which I was eternally grateful.
Below are just a few pictures depicting these wild last three days.
Trees just simply are not meant to endure heavy wet snow until their needles or leaves have fallen!
We’re not sure if this is the end of the madness in store for Montanans this winter. Band together neighbors and friends; watch out for each other and stick close to one another.
