Illegally killing a Grizzly bear in Montana is a big mistake as one Charlo man quickly discovered.
MISSOULA, MT —”A Charlo man pleaded guilty to poaching a collared grizzly bear in 2018.
Kevin Moll, 31, pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawfully taking of a threatened species and was sentenced to two years of federal probation and $5,000 in restitution.
Court documents report an investigation started when a sow grizzly bear’s collar showed it had died. Law enforcement found the carcass of the grizzly bear without a collar and ear tag on a bone pile at the Perry Dairy near Charlo.”
