Hamilton School Debacle!

Vote “NO” on both the levy and bond issue!

The Hamilton School District is seeking both a PERMANENT levy increase of 31.6 mils (about $85/yr on $200K home) and a $69.5 million bond issue without expressing the expected cost. Currently, government bond rates (including schools) of 30-yr bonds is hovering close to 4.5% or higher or at least $3.1 million a year in interest. Payback on the bonds is $2.3 million a year for a total of $5.4 million a year or an additional $488/yr on a $200K home. In total, the school is seeking an additional $574 annually from home owners valued at $200K. Commercial rates on rental properties are even higher and will result in further increases in rents as well.

Approval of these requests during a period of high inflation and stagnant wage growth would be a disastrous to the local economy.

The insensitivity of the current school board to the effects this request would have on the people in the Hamilton School District demands we replace current members with people willing to represent the interests of the public more than the school.

Both Seth Gale Wyrick and Jeni Seifert are incumbents, part of the current board that need replaced.

Vote Jeff Jones and Eli Johnson for the Hamilton School board.

Jeff Jones is a conservative Christian that will help stand against liberal indoctrination programs like SEL and the 1619 project.

I do not know anything about Dr. Eli Johnson, a local dentist, but would rather support him than any incumbent.
