Zinke and Daines and Tester on Feinstein-(But It’s Rosendale Who is Wise)

Date:

In a recent article on the passing of Diane Feinstein two Montana Republicans (and one Democrat) commented on the U.S. Senator; and yet another Republican chose the path of wisdom.

Matt Rosendale called Diane Feinstein’s family and gave his condolences which was the thoughtful and kind thing to do. He did not, publicly however, comment on her life, her work, or her substance. (As it should be).

However, the three others did.

And we’d expect such comments from Tester where he described the Senator as “A trailblazing public servant who was a privilege to serve with.” (We would expect such a response from within one’s own shared party).

Zinke (does what he always does) and attempted to impress the opposing side with charm. Concerning Feinstein he stated she was “A role model to many young women looking to serve their country.” Zinke, a Republican, added that “He appreciated her candor and willingness to work across the aisle.” (This is the same man who said he had “Great respect for Nancy Pelosi and that she was a brilliant woman and “I was fortunate enough to have been in her presence numerous times.” Say what?

Here is how one artist wrapped matters up (concerning Feinstein’s life) in a visual format. (Artist Credit Adam Zyglis)

And in conclusion, Senator Daines was quoted as saying-“Daines called her his friend and expressed his gratitude to have worked with her on causes important for both Montana and California.”  Daines and Feinstein co-sponsored several forestry management and wildland firefighter-related bills.

What is happening here and what really is at stake? As you can clearly see the two Republicans (Zinke and Daines) are trying to find common ground or charm their way through this matter of condolences however the artists rendering above SPEAKS VOLUMES concerning Feinstein’s character and goals.

Because ultimately when the day is done it is Rosendale who sees this picture literally for what it is. Don’t cross party lines (unless you really know what you’re doing) and don’t give your opposition credit. Respect the position of Senator and yes extend your condolences for a life that has passed (which is fitting).
