The following information was submitted to Montana 1st News by a Bigfork resident as many in the area (residents) are in an upheaval over the newest development proposal (‘Peaceful Acres’) recently voted in by the Flathead County Commissioners. (We do not know exactly which of the three commissioners voted this in, but at least two of the three did for the new development to pass.)
As you read below, you will see that not only are many who reside in Bigfork very concerned about safety measures in the Bigfork area, but multiple professionals are disturbed as well, including the sewer and water department, the fire department, the road and bridge department, and others who voiced their worries.
Even the Bigfork Land and Use Committee chimed in, stating, “The bluff is unstable for building homes.”
