West Kalispell: Bald Eagles Feasting (Yeah I Was Excited)

Date:

As my best buddy and I were driving through West Kalispell (just past West Valley the other day) she paused for a moment and said “Look I think those are Bald Eagles over there and maybe a baby and a raven).

My friend also thought the “baby” was either a young Bald Eagle or a Golden Eagle and assured me “Those babies are big.”

Being the nerd that I am I got out my phone uber quick (there was traffic behind us so we didn’t stop) and my comment was, “Whatever those birds are feasting on has been there for a while-look how flat that thing is.”

Of course, we wanted the kids in the car to see it but one was a half-asleep 4-year-old and the other was immersed in groovin to the Christian Radio Station playing in the car.

At least I have the pics to prove what I saw. Yea we were going 50-yeah they aren’t the best pictures. But I was glad God allowed me to get these shots as I was trying to apply Chapstick with one hand and get my phone set up for a picture at the same time (and that I actually could retrieve my phone in time)!

Learning to live in the glorious moment.
