Several Whitefish businesses are charging clients a “voluntary fee” which makes no sense at all and then not mentioning it to them. One resident (followed by others) was not happy. Look what they had to say…(Whitefish uses the term ‘sustainablity’ which is an Agenda 21 term. Not good.

Most receipts I’ve seen just say “voluntary” (but don’t tell the person what it’s for)… or “ASK” them if they want to donate.
Usually I see 3 letters. It was ‘TSP’ and NOW it’s been changed.
How can something “voluntary” be added as compulsory? It is not my job to “give” money to a corporation to help build the tourist business in Whitefish. There is no accountability to the group that receives the money.
I heard they received around $800,000. last year.
