Mountain Lions Spotted in Kalispell (It Will Be a Year to Remember)

Date:

The wildlife will just become more prevalent in town than ever before. How could they not be with such horrific fires raging throughout Northwest MT?

In the past 6 weeks, three mountain lions were seen on Willow Glen and Leisure Drive in Kalispell. Due to the fact that there is a water source nearby on Leisure Island (meaning the Stillwater River) and other “critters” to consume and a forested area, mountain lions, as well as black bears and grizzlies are common in the area.

Recently a mountain lion was spotted by several residents on the west side of Kalispell. We do NOT expect this to be the end and are assuming multiple reports will start pouring in.

Last year grizzly bear scat was seen in yards in Kalispell and mountain lions were suspected along a creek bed as deer in the area were gone instantly.

Keep a lookout for small pets and young children. Mountain lions are predators. Stay safe folks.
