FH County: Wednesday 33 Schools Open, 1 Closes (Weather and Bomb Threats)

At first glance one may assume that all 33 “open schools” (See below) chose to stay open as they perhaps felt the weather wasn’t bad enough for students to be exempt from school. 33 schools were open in Flathead County on Wednesday, January 17th. One school however chose to close for the day.

Also, on Wednesday, nationwide bomb threats were received via email (as well as many school districts throughout Montana). Here is an example as sheriffs throughout MT and in many counties nationwide became involved due to the threats.

It is surprising actually due to the circumstances that more schools didn’t close.
