A Flathead County resident who works near the Flathead Warming Center shared the following with Montana 1st News today,
“So on Monday, not only did I have to contact the Kalispell Police Department to enforce that ordinance on that “Druggy RV”, (more to come on that via an upcoming article from Montana 1st News) but then I saw a TON of homeless people mostly of Latino looking origin walking around town with suitcases and backpacks as they had just gotten off a bus or plane… then at 5:15 pm when I drove by the Flathead Warming Center there was a huge line from the door all the way to and down the sidewalk on Meridian … all of them Hispanic looking and looking like they just got off a bus.

(Of Special Note): On Wednesday a report by a local couple was issued to Montana 1st News (via a reliable source) that many buses had recently dropped off a large number of people (they stated “Hispanics”) in the region close to The Silo Apartments in Kalispell. They also shared they believed the amount was about 500 people who recently showed up.
If you find this matter concerning share this article and your thoughts with the Kalispell City Council by emailing them at publiccomment@kalispell.com. and be sure and attend the upcoming meeting on May 13th at 7 pm at Kalispell City Hall 201 1st Ave East Kalispell, MT-(Ask all you know to attend as well).
Montana 1st News will continue to report on this issue as the story develops.
(Publishers Update: This article does NOT CLAIM that these people were in Kalispell for long. It claims that they were here. As they were seen near The Silo Apartments it could have been very probable that they were traveling through and perhaps stopped in that location to use the bathrooms at the Kalispell Center Mall. It is also probable that some of them stayed one night in the Flathead Warming Center as they were seen lined up with suitcases and backpacks on Monday, April 22nd which is the day they were seen near the mall).
