Kalispell was all “up in arms” (so to speak) this morning.
Local residents and parents got online revealing the following and were NOT HAPPY concerning the crazy situation.
As you can read above parents are concerned that these schools don’t have the proper “Malware” (what they really mean is proper protective programs to guard against malicious hackers).
Concerned parents and others flocked to the internet, claiming that scanners stated an “active shooter” was on the lose while other parents said they got texts from their kids claiming they “heard gunshots.”
Regardless of what folks saw, heard, or thought they heard, it appears these schools need far better systems in place to prevent foreign online invaders.
This isn’t the first time this has happened and students were absolutely panicked.
There were police everywhere at all three schools blockading and with K-9s etc.
The real issue is if we taxpayers are paying literally thousands of dollars (via property taxes) year after year, and because “Johnny can’t read” anyway (meaning most children don’t get a great education in these government warehouses), then WHY isn’t our hard-earned cash going toward tech programs with better protective computer ‘ware’ !?!? At least if the education, for the most part, is subpar, students can be adequately protected and not run around freaking out if insidious hacks don’t happen in the first place.
All the more reason to homeschool your kids.
