Kalispell’s New Amazon Warehouse (There’s Far More To It Than What We Expected)

Date:

Perhaps many of you have seen that Kalispell is next in line to get an Amazon Warehouse on the South end of town.

A Kalispell resident shared the following information via a friend of hers who works for Amazon. You can read the opinion piece below.

“For those of you who are cheerleading for this, I suggest you read what a friend of mine, who works for Amazon in another state, had to say when I asked her about it:”

“Amazon is headed toward full robotics. Personally, I have issues with it. Additionally, they tend to pull people from over an hour away to work, which can be upsetting to the local community in terms of economy, social, environmental, etc. Observation has shown me that once Amazon moves in, more large industries start building their warehouses in the area. Also, Amazon tends to not stop at just one building in an area, but multiple! In short, if you want to stay “small town,” don’t let Amazon move in. One last note, Amazon is continuing to be very pro DEI to the point that Christian holidays are ignored but not other religious ones such as Holi (Indian spring observance) and others.”

There you have it folks. Maybe it’s not such a great thing after all.
