Kudos to Senator Ken Bogner from Miles City who sponsored Senate Bill 308, “An act establishing patient visitation rights.”
Bogner got the ball rolling by sponsoring this bill which was fashioned after a similar bill which was passed in the state of Florida.
Dr. Al Olszewski (a proponent of SB 308) revealed how important this bill is to get passed and especially in light of veterans. Shirley Herrin’s (who passed away in St. Peter’s hospital and was denied patient rights) family members spoke on behalf of desperately wanting SB to pass.
You can watch Senator Bogner, Dr. Al Olszewski, Fay Lamping (Shirley Herrin’s sister) and Susan Williams (Herrin’s daughter via Zoom).
Nicole Giacomini spoke out as well giving heartfelt and painstaking comments in order to help get SB to pass.
