Historical Many Glacier 1925: Blackfeet Employees Required to Dress in ‘Traditional Clothing’

In 1925 local Blackfeet natives were hired by Many Glacier (Glacier National Park) and other areas of the national park as employees. Helen (pictured below) was believed to be approximately 16 years of age and was one of several Blackfeet who were hired. In order to work in Glacier National Park the employees were required to wear ‘traditional Blackfeet clothing’ to ‘appeal to Eastern tourists.’
