Kalispell MT: Woodland Park Homeless Camp-Will The ‘New Police’ Intervene? (Holding L.E. Accountable)

Date:

Years ago Woodland Park was a pleasant place to visit. The grounds were clean, the water was cleaner and the ‘hills’ were cleaner. Up high on what is called the Parkline Trail (some call it the “Hobo Trail”) the homeless are invading this once family friendly city park and at an alarming rate.

Here is a picture of the reality of what Woodland Park, the heart of Kalispell, has become. My friends this ought not be.

The last I heard, littering in public places was a crime for which one received a fine. Contrary to popular belief this is public land, city owned land and not someone’s bedroom or living room.

Now that the new levy (Emergency Responder Levy) has passed and I will personally be taxed yearly and to the tune of more than $400 dollars a year than I’m already paying for a myriad of ‘services’ I expect the police to patrol this area far more than they do and that they DEMAND that whoever is making this a toxic heap of garbage clean it up. There is no excuse for this and I am one of a myriad of people (and I mean many) who are thoroughly and utterly disgusted by this nonsense. And if these homeless won’t pay a fine haul them off to the upcoming ‘New Jail’ because that’s what jails are for-lawbreakers.

Take a look at what the general public in Flathead County has to say about this ‘Portlandesque’ site.

The new ‘Emergency Responder Levy’ passed on Wednesday and evidently just in the nick of time because there certainly need to be far more law enforcement officers patrolling and enforcing such measures in Woodland Park.

Friends hold these officers (11 new officers to be exact will be hired) accountable meaning if you see this atrocity happening in YOUR city parks (not just Woodland Park) call the police and call them often. Go to the station in droves. They are taking and spending your cash. They owe it to you.
