Honoring Montana’s Farmers (Even Though We Ooops-Missed “National Farmers Day”)

Date:

Although “National Farmer’s Day” took place on October 12, Montana1stNews didn’t want our farmers to think we had forgotten them!

Farming is such an important endeavor in Montana and we’d hate to think where we’d be without these loyal friends and family serving us day in and out. Hardworking Montanan Farmers have been working diligently year in and out to provide us (and our livestock) with alfalfa, hay, sugar beets, barley, safflower, flax, canola, lentils, potatoes and the all important wheat crop!

Montana is famous for its wheat and we are proud of our hard-working farmers who provide us with our ‘daily bread.’

Vitally important and of special note are those who provide organic farming practices and again we say Thank You! Where would Montana be without our farmers? Well not nearly as blessed that’s most certain!

Happy (late) “National Farmer’s Day” to all you wonderful ‘keepers of the crops!’

We appreciate you!
