Upon leaving home an 18-year-old departed Kalispell MT for Rapid City, South Dakota. Not that Kalispell hasn’t changed more in the last two years than it has in the last 50 but what the youth found when he returned after just 3 months made his eyes widen in disbelief.
He shared with Montana1stNews “I leave Kalispell for three months and everything has completely changed!”
He proceeded to mention how a fist fight nearly ensued in the Salvation Army, as he spotted what appeared to be two homeless men yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. Other curious shoppers hurried over to gawk but he quickly departed the store.
Then he witnessed a man screaming very loudly and aggressively at a child (about 6 years old) who was whipping his dog on a leash. (Now mind you the child shouldn’t have been whipping a dog but for an adult to drive by and not calmly deal with the matter is the point).
However, the final clincher was when he witnessed two toddlers about three years old running down the middle of the street alone!
The craziest part of this story is that all these events took place within a half-hour time period.
Montana has gone rogue or most definitely is on its way with the increasing population, drug usage, and homelessness. The bigger cities meaning Kalispell, Billings, Bozeman, Helena, Missoula, and Great Falls are seeing a much higher crime rate than ever before.
Spokane has been drug-ridden for what seems like 30-plus years but Montana and especially Western Montana is inundated with crime like never before.
Heads up Montanans crime and abuse are everywhere. When its safe to intervene do so or call for help.
Sad times.
