Something seems amiss.
Assistant Attorney General Thorin A. Geist and Madison County Attorney David Buchler, set forth last-minute motions by applying for a warrant aiming to have the persecuted missionaries arrested if they step foot in Madison County. However, the Honorable Judge Luke Berger last January stated very clearly when he urged the missionaries by saying, “I encourage you to continue your mission work just don’t go on Brad Terrell’s property” and the only stipulations he set forth were to not go onto Terrell’s property or to possess firearms.
Whatever this has to do with trying to have the four innocent missionaries arrested we will never know. As stated clearly in the exhibits the missionaries have made it clear; it is no secret that they intend to continue the start of their peaceful walk off of Hwy 287 in Cameron, MT.
The motions states thus: (However, contrary to statements in the motion (below), the maltreated missionaries, nor do any of their comrades have any intention of going onto Brad Terrell’s property).
“The Defendants have threatened to violate their conditions of bond by
returning to the victim’s property. The Defendants are also attempting to
influence this proceeding by encouraging others to rally at the victim’s
property. The State of Montana supports the Defendants right to continue
their walk, but they cannot violate the District Court’s orders or intimidate
witnesses along the way. As such, the State of Montana requests that the
Defendant’s bond be revoked and that the District Court issue a warrant
authorizing the Defendants arrest if and when they enter into Madison
County, Montana.”
DATED this day of May, 2023.
As of yet we do not believe that Judge Luke Berger has signed off on these motions.
