City of Kalispell: Tardy Revealing Facts to Residents Surrounding Poisonous/Toxic Water (Possible Solutions)

Date:

Something’s askew and it just doesn’t add up.

The news is hopping lately concerning the poisonous/highly toxic water in portions of Kalispell’s city water system right now. Perhaps the most upsetting issue is that the problem was detected as being ‘dangerous’ back in July. (It’s also been shared that the water was in the testing phases as early as a year ago January).

So why are we hearing about this horrific issue just now?

Residents have revealed varying thoughts on the matter-(See Below)

Other residents are extremely concerned over the dangerous health effects this toxic water could produce.

Joe Schrader (Utility Management Superintendent) of the Public Works Department in Kalispell revealed the following after being asked about the situation. (Paraphrasing) “The levels fall within range within appropriate ranges”-“We’ve added a little extra chlorine to the water”-“There are PFA’s in just about everything”.

Somehow his statements just aren’t that comforting and to be honest seem pretty flippant. (He deals with the public though so he has his ‘jargon’ down).

News articles concerning the situation shared the following information,

“The City of Kalispell issued a consumer drinking water notice Friday, months after the detection of cancer-linked PFAS in two of its wells in July.” –They’ve known about this since July.

“Turner said the detection came as a complete shock to the department. Origins of the substances in Kalispell remain unknown.”-Folks the department states they are in shock. This is bad.

“Emerging health concerns around forever chemicals have led 10 states to regulate the substances, although Montana is not one of them. The EPA plans to issue enforceable drinking water standards for PFAS early this year after years of studies and tests around the substances. Montana will then have a two-year period to adopt those standards for its public water systems.” –In other words this could take a long time to deal with in Montana.

Folks this is not an endorsement and please study this company for yourselves (as many families etc. are now investing in water filtration systems) but click here for this seems like it might be a good solution for this current issue. Again, please study for yourself.
