Talk about betrayal.
Aaron Flint has been funded to the tune of nearly half a million dollars ($500k) by an Al (Artificial Intelligence PAC) entitled “Leading the Future” which is the Republican portion of an even larger PAC entitled “American Mission PAC.”
The main goal of this Political Action Committee is to get the ‘funded candidate’ in this case Aaron Flint (who is running for Montana’s Western Congressional seat for district no. 1) to do their bidding which consists of the following:
They fund candidates who,
A. Will not come under a “patchwork” (which means scattered here and there) of “state” regulated Centers. In short, they don’t want to fund candidates who only want a scattered few of these AI Data Centers in Montana.
B. Will promote and adhere to nationally (federally) regulated AI Data Centers. In short, they get behind candidates who agree to push national (federal) AI Data Centers.
And that person is Aaron Flint.
In essence what this means is they only want to fund candidates who will PUSH AI Data Centers far and wide throughout Montana. To learn more details concerning the “Leading the Future” PAC and what they expect from those they fund click here.
However, something strange happened (and less than a week ago) where Flint completely did a 180 and came against AI Data Centers in Montana by stating the following on a podcast out of Big Sky, Montana where Flint was recently interviewed.
Flint revealed,
“Well first off we cannot have these Data Centers in Montana if they’re gonna jack up our electricity rates, if they’re gonna consume all of our water or foul our Montana way of life. So that’s the first thing is we can’t have is these Data Centers here in Montana if they’re gonna destroy/jack up our electricity rates etc. That being said, I do think this is an issue that the state legislature needs to look at. I think we can all agree we don’t want the federal government coming in and saying, “Well Montana you can’t do this you can’t do that.” The last thing we want is the federal government making these decisions, but I do think this is something the state legislature is going to have to look at.”
Begin listening to the podcast at minute mark 39:08 and you will see Flint and the host “roll playing” as though a caller was phoning in to chat with Flint and looking for answers. It is very telling to watch him talk about AI Data Centers when all we’ve heard up to this point is that he wants them. (After all he took almost $500k to promote them). Do you see what Flint has done here? He is trying to please Montanan’s (and he has taken Dr. Olszewski’s ideas and words in doing so) because he knows that the vast majority of Montanan’s are highly opposed to these AI Data Centers. However, Flint (and we cannot say it enough) took close to a half a million dollars from those who want him to place these Centers (via the federal government) everywhere throughout Montana.
Which is it Flint?
On the one hand, if he stands by the PAC which bought him (literally purchased him), he must do things the federal government’s way and he just lied to Montanans. On the other hand, if he stands by most Montanans’ wishes and the Montana legislature, he’s betrayed his “Leading the Future” PAC.
Aaron Flint is typical of most politicians meaning they “say one thing and do another” and telling your audience (at the time) exactly what they want to hear.
Well deception of that sort doesn’t fly in Montana where one can often hear Flint spew to the opposite, “Here in Montana we have each other’s back.”
The reality is that here in Montana folks dislike nothing more than a hypocrite.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Not now. Not ever.
